Simon Says Stamp and Show Your Distressed/Sanded Projects!

A new week means a whole new challenge ... this week the challenge is
Simon Says Stamp and Show your Distressed/Sanded projects! So if you would like to join in this week ... Interpret the theme as you choose then come back here and link up so we can all see what you made! The challenge will close next Sunday at Midnight ... before you get started ... these are the designs that the team here came up with ...
Kim recently purchased the fantastic I-top Brad Maker from Simon Says Stamp and couldn't wait to incorporate it into her project! Here she has stamped some Basic Grey Manila papers with a  Wendy vecchi spider. She created her fabulous brad and added Distress Inks on the edges! Kim says "The sanding bit isn't immediately obvious... the tag is from Wendy's ticket to art which I have stamped onto grungepaper with black archival I then inked all over with Distress Inks! I then scrunched it and enhanced the creases by sanding them! I've distressed the edges of my card and some of the patterned papers too."

Lori has used Salvage Stickers this week, some Idea-ology, some grungeboard, paint and molding paste, stamps, Ten Seconds Studio metal and molds, some found objects, and altered this dollar store canvas beautifully.
I have distressed the edges of my tags using Tim's Tonic Edge Distresser  ... The Distress Inks I have used are Rusty Hinge; Wild Honey and Forest Moss. The stamps are an assortment from Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz.

Linda loves the autumn. She says It's her favourite crafting season too. She has used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color the leaves and the canvas sunflowers. The clock and calendar were cut from paper in the Lost and Found pack. She embossed alumnium foil with Cracked Texture Fade and dripped Adirondack Alcohol inks on it. A sheet of card stock was embossed with the Collage Texture Fade, sanded and ink distressed with Vintage Photo. Tim Holtz Game spinners became clock hands and it was topped off with a fabulous Tim Holtz Ornate Plate.

You've heard of a jack-o-lantern? Here's a box-o-tags! Dan used mostly Tim Holtz and Inkadinkado Halloween stamps, in conjunction with Bundled Sage, Dusty Concord and Wild Honey distress ink pads and an Archival black ink pad. Dan says "Given the nature of the theme, he used a Tim Holtz sanding block to sand the edges of everything in sight :0)"

Nancy has used Sky Blue paint, stamped a piece of canvas with Adirondack Espresso Paint Dabber, grunged some Jenni Bowlin and 7 Gypsies papers and painted a Grungeboard frame with more Sky Blue paint to create this fabulous wallet folder.

Terry used Tim Holz Distres inks in Vintage Photo , Brushed Corduroy, Rusty Hinge and Fired Brick to create her lovely project.

Lynne used her Tim Holtz Sanding Block; some  Retro Grunge, Vintage lace, flowers, Tattered Angel Glimmer Chips, Olive Vine and Pine Cone Glimmer Mist together with lots of other bits and bobs to make her pretty project.

The base of Nancy's project is a piece of wood that measures 2.5" x 3.5", sanded with a Tim Holtz Sanding Block  then stained with Pitch Black Dabbers. Background papers are applied after using the Tonic Edge Distresser  on each. The six sides of the ATC are then decorated with Crafty Secrets Double Sided Creative Scraps.

Katie said this about her gorgeous picket fence "After LOTS of layers and crackling... eventually this mini album was born. I kept it quite simple and embellished it with lots of flowers and a Tim Holtz Word Stick. I used the new Prima Annalee, distressed with Brushed Cordoroy Distress Inkfor my photo mats."

So now it's over to you ... The Design Team are looking forward to seeing your interpretations! This week's wonderful prize donated by our wonderful site sponsor Simon Says Stamp is a $25 gift voucher!

The prize will go to a random entry chosen by the In links Random Generator. The challenge will close at Midnight Ohio time on Sunday 3rd October 2010 and the winner will be announced during the following week. To qualify all you need to do is create a new piece of work related to this theme ... post it on your blog ... with a link to this site and then pop a link below so everyone can come see what you made! And who knows ... if you don't win this prize ... your work may be selected for the specially designed Top Three Blinkie.

Have fun everyone :0)
