Simon Says Stamp & Show Whatever Makes you Happy!

Happy Monday to you all ... Thank you so much to those of you that found time to play in our Shabby challenge ... The winners will be announced on Wednesday .... so don't forget to check back and see who won that shopping spree... and of course the Top Three Blinkies too!! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Whatever Makes you Happy! A nice, open theme this week and if you feel like joining in ... all you need to do is ... make something that makes you happy ... pop it on your blog ... and come back here and link up so everyone can see what you made! The challenge will close next Sunday at Midnight ... and to start those creative juices flowing... take a look at what makes the Design Team happy ...
With the season of busyness fast approaching, Nancy wants to get a jump start on some simple gift tags. This tag can be completed in 10 minutes with Tim Holtz Christmas stamps, tags, embossing powder and Distress Inks. The NOEL sign was coloured with Copic Markers. You can see another great example on Nancy's Blog by clicking on her name.

Using up stash makes Lori happy... no, wait... ecstatic would be the correct term. And getting to play with new stash is even better! So, Lori combined some new Art Parts, Clearly Art, Conservatory paper from 7 Gypsies and Studio 490 stamps to make this:

Playing with Grungepaper; THE Wendy Vecchi stamps; Distress Inks and Idea-ology embellishments make Linda happy ... very happy. So that is exactly what she used to alter this little chip drinks coaster ... or to those of us in the UK ... just a plain old beer mat!

What makes Linda happy is distressing. She doesn't think a project is finished unless something is ripped, torn, sanded, inked or otherwise shabbied up. She loves taking something new and making it look worn and aged. She had a great time this week making her vintage Christmas card. Some of the products and tools she used on her card are: Martha Stewart Snow Flurry Border Punch, Spellbinders Create a Flake I, Ranger Clear UTEE, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and Tim Holtz Odds and Ends stamp.

So many crafty things make Kim happy... She just couldn't fit any more onto her piece. She has been eager to create a spool with Wendy's Art Parts since she got them and has incorporated a vast selection of Wendy vecchi fabulous stamps ~ Botanical art, Alphabetically art, Nature's art, Ticket to art. She used Brilliance pigment ink moonlight white as a base to make the distress ink colours lighter, little did she know they would turn out so much paler and slightly shimmery. She then stamped patterns in both Coffee and Black archival ink. She used sticky back canvas for around the spools inked, stamped and secured with memo pin. she also added one of Tim Holtz Fanciful buttons gorgeous!!!

Trying out new techniques and having a good old play make Dan happy! Applying distress inks to bare wood and stamping on baby wipes were firsts for him in this project. Products used included Distress Ink Pads, a Black Versafine Ink Pad and a white Paint Dabber.

Learning new techniques like this Vertical Accordion card always makes Nancy happy, especially when they involve Distress Inks, Wendy Vecchi stamps and Basic Grey paper pads!

Terry sure likes to alter anything she can get her hands on....this time she altered an "old" perfume box. She has used the fabulous papers from Graphic 45 LE ROMANTIQUE 12 x 12 Paper Pack Vintage Love , the papers are worked on with Glimmermist and she used lots of roses and cherry flowers. Underneath the image she used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch. All the borders are coloured using Distress inks, the colours that she used are Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge.

What makes Lynne happy...........FLOWERS...flowers....flowers!!! She used the Tattered Leaves die, fabric and Multi Medium to create this Poinsettia. To colour the fabric, she used Barn Door and Fired Brick; Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Reinker Mixtures (a dropper full of Distress Ink and water in a Mini Mister). She then accented the petals with Fire Brick and Forest Moss Distress Stickles and Tim Holtz Baubles. Now, she is REALLY happy!!
