Simon Says Stamp and Show your Favourite Stamp!

Hello Everyone! Thank you for playing along with last week's challenge ...  the winners will be announced this Wednesday .... so don't forget to check back ... this could be your winning week! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Your Favourite Stamp! If you want to join in the fun ... all you need to do is ... create something that ties in with our theme ... pop it on your blog ... and come back here and link up so everyone can see what you made! First take a look at what the Design Team came up with...
Choosing a favorite stamp was one of the toughest challenges yet. As an avid stamp collector, Nancy doesn't have just one favorite. This card features a couple of her *go to* stamps, Crafty Secrets Artsy Banner with Artistic Outpost Bluebird to create a boyish card for a 21st birthday. With the addition of Tattered Banners and Spellbinders Scalloped Squares this simple card is complete.
Candy's favorite stamp(s) today (they change daily) are from Wendy Vecchi's Tools For Art set. They inspired this colorful and whimsical artist's palette. She combined the paint brush and ink bottles stamps with a few other sentiment stamps and various flower and leaves stamps from Wendy. Then she added Wendy Vecchi's Borders and Bottles Art Parts, Color Washes, Distress Stains, Adirondak Embossing Powders and Tim Holtz' Kraft Resist Paper to complete this "artsy" piece.
Sarah just adores the Retro glamour of this sassy dame from Tim's Pattern Pieces Stamp. Sarah also loves the fresh design of the 1950's and decided on a red dress code and created a little City Chic - handbag style! She used the Chip Block Die, Claudine Hellmuth paints, a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and a few hours scissor work...See lots more photos and details on Sarah's blog.
Nancy sat down to create something using Tim Holtz' dress form stamp from his Haberdashery set, but, then she wanted background and embellishment ... then, next thing she knew, she had a set of tags using many of her favorite stamps! Nancy stayed with one set of Ranger Distress Inks - Antique Linen, Rusty Hinge, Walnut Stain, Chipped Sapphire, Forest Moss, Fired Brick. You can see the tags individually on Nancy's blog here.
Lori decided to continue with the Wendy Vecchi style this week, as many of her stamps are Lori's favorites! For this card she chose her current favorite background stamp from Art Colors Life, stamped with Denim pigment ink. The flowers are from the same stamp set, as is the "Simplify". The flowers are colored with Watermelon Adirondack pigment ink and overstamped with the text stamp from Love to Make Art. Check her blog for more details!
Terry decided to make a baby card. Her favourite stamps are the FABULOUS butterfly Just Fly from  Wendy Vecchi. And the other favourite is the smaller Just Flutterby Butterfly from Wendy Vecchi. She worked on them with Distress inks such as Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo and Weathered Wood. On top she used Crackle Accents, to give it that special look. The borders are worked on with the EK Succes Fleur de Lis Slim Edger Punch More detailled pictures are on her Blog.
Choosing her favorite stamp was not an easy choice so Lynne chose a stamp set....Hero Arts Real Garden Petals. She used Wild Honey and Peeled Paint Distress Inks to stamp her flowers which became the focal point of the diecut Style Label. She accented the flowers on the tag with Rock Candy Crackle Accents. She embossed the chipboard flourish using her Collage Texture Fade. Don't you just love the Corner Accent! Check out her blog and Grungepaper Rose Tutorial!
Choosing a favourite stamp was without a doubt the toughest challenge yet! Kim really had to think about this one and decided on Wendy's background stamps! Alphabetically art is Kim's go to stamp and are on the sides of the hand made box. But more recently art colors life background stamp really impresses and is on the lid, used with white embossing powder. Everything is sanded and scuffed; all the edges are generously inked with frayed burlap distress inks!
Linda's recently acquired Tim Holtz Papillion set and it has become a great favorite.  She used it to create a piece of decorative desk art for her "favorite stamp" project.  She used a freedom theme to make a non-traditional Memorial Day recognition.  In addition to the Tim Holtz stamp set, she also used the Tim Holtz Vintage Market alphabet die, Vintage Photo Distress Stain, Vintage Photo and Broken China distress inks, Spellbinders heart die, plus the Tim Holtz Kraft Resist Paper Stash and Tissue Tape.
Dan's favorite stamp from the Tim Holtz range is without doubt the "David" head from Tim's Artful Artifacts set.  It's strong graphic style means that even the craziest color combinations still work with it.  Other products used here include the Kraft Resist card stack, Fired Brick Distress Stain and the Bitty Grunge stamp set.  More details on Dan's blog!
Many of you already know that I pick the themes each week ... so from the very moment I chose this one ... I knew exactly which stamp ... erm ... I mean stamps I was going to use! First up is the very first Tim Holtz stamp I ever bought many moons ago ... Mona and of course Wendy Vecchi's mini butterfly from Make Mine Mini Art. I used Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint Distress Inks to colour.
