Tracy is on her adventures again this week, this time in a HOT AIR BALLOON using not one but four of Tim's techniques; rusted enamel, chipped enamel, altered metal with paint and dimensional collage fragments. With a little help from Tim's Remnants set, London Underground and Odds and Ends set. Throw into the mix plenty of Nostalgic Tissue Tape and butterscotch Color Wash and we are ready for take off!
Please stop by The Design Team's individual blogs for more detailed pictures and further information on their work...Just click on their names! We are looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this theme! Our wonderful site sponsor Simon Says Stamp is once again giving away a $50 gift voucher!
Gloss Paper, randomly stamped images from Ultimate Grunge and Basic Backgrounds and Vermillion, Monarch Orange and Aquamarine Archival Inks all work together to create this Tim Holtz Archival Ink Resist Technique background. Candy's steampunk tag features a funky winged clock and a magical Remnants hot air balloon ride.
Color Wash infused fabrics, paint, Archival and Distress Inks were the Tim ingredients Sarah used to create her mixed media cards. She used Tim's new stamps of the same name along with Good Thoughts, Urban Chic and Mini Ornates.
Lynne used a form of the Wrinkle Free Distress but with a twist. She substituted various Dylusion Inks, Bubblegum Pink, Squeezed Orange, Vibrant Turquoise, Fresh Lime and added a splash of Sunflower Sparkle PP. Using the Sewing Room Die, she created her mannequin fairy, adorning her with wings from Grungeboard Elements, spritz with ink and finished off with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.
Terry used the Embossing Technique with the Springtime Background and Borders Set. On top she played with Distress Stains and Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence, Tarnished Brass, Antique Bronze and Brushed Pewter. The butterflies are from the Movers and Shapers Mini Butterfly set decorated with Distress Stains and Crackle Accents. To finish her tag she used the Rosette, a Sprocket Gear and last but not least, she added a Wordstick from The Tim.
Ellen used the marbled distress stain background and stamping with picket fence stain techniques to create her tag this week. She used stamps from Tim's Papillon, Haberdashery, and Little Labels sets for the background, and the sentiment from the Stuff to Say set, accenting with embellishments from Tim Holtz, 7 Gypsies, and some vintage lace and buttons.
Dan's niece asked him to make a gift box for a necklace she'd made for her mum, something "gentle and a bit floral". These aren't two of Dan's strong points, but pale spring colours and Tim's Wrinkle-Free Distress technique came to the rescue! Products he used included Distress ink pads, Distress stains, Color Wash sprays and the Floral Tattoo stamp set.
I used Tim's Blended Batik technique on the new Ranger Speciality Stamping Paper to create my card ... if you have n't tried the paper yet ... you need to ... I LOVE it! The lettering is done with Alpha Parts from both the Newsprint and Ransom sets. Embellishments include an Ornate Plate and Tissue Tape.
