Dan has been hoarding this fibreboard money box for a few weeks, waiting for inspiration to strike. He covered it with papers from the Crowded Attic and Kraft Resist pads and then distressed it with Antique Linen and Forest Moss Distress Stains, with a little white paint dabber for good measure. He filled a selection of bookplates and Memory Frames with pieces from the Retro Grunge and Lost and Found pads, among others, and finished it off with an Idea-ology Word Key and a Plaquette!
Nancy hadn't done a 12"x12" layout lately and with the theme *anything goes* and new photos of her nieces, it was time to give it a go. This layout uses a background from Graphic 45 Renaissance Faire with additions of 7 Gypsies Lille and Crate Paper Restoration.
Having just returned from Ranger U, Candy decided to create a background sampler using twelve techniques she learned. A 7 Gypsies Printer Tray is the perfect decorative piece to display the backgrounds and embellishments! Candy incorporated Distress Inks, Paint Dabbers, Alcohol Inks and Color Washes to create totally different looks. Then she embellished each compartment with faux porcelain flowers made from UTEE, various Tim Holtz Ideaology pieces, stamps and die cuts for a very colorful and detailed piece.
Sarah decided to be both Girly and Grungy by creating a ring binder book of flowers and metal. She decorated the cover with crinoline Rosette flowers and grunged up some old Thicker letters with her Snow-Cap Dabber and Distress embossing powder. Sarah also used lashings of Distress Inks, a Wendy Vecchi leaf stamp and various design papers to fill the inside...see lots more photos and details on Sarah's blog.
Lori needed to make an 8th grade graduation card for a nephew, so she turned to alcohol inks to make a bold and bright statement. She also used the DREAM mover and shaper die, the Rock Star stamp set, and the I-Rock heat setting tool to add some "stars" to the city skyline!Terry decided to make a surprise babybag, she used the wonderful papers from Graphic 45 . The borders are distressed with Dried Marigold, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo, the flower has the same distressed colours and was made with The Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Bigz Dies and the Alphabet Letters are worked on with Crackle Accents. More details are on her blog
Nancy got this chalkboard to alter a few weeks ago - perfect fit for 'anything goes'! Some 7Gypsies Tissue Paper, Graphic45 Staples Flowers, Wendy Vecchi's Clearly for Art cut with Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die & covered with Jenni Bowlin's Mini Papers - oh, some 7Gypsies Ephemera & a Lille Tag - and Wendy's Art Parts (the stars and the ink bottle) colored with Fired Brick Distress Stain, stamped with Jet Black - and she just layered away!Mothers were on Linda's mind as she created her sample for this week on the eve of Mother's Day and she decided to do a tribute to the soft, feminine side of motherhood with lots of flowers and pinks. This collage/wall hanging used a lot of different product including Claudine Helmuth Gesso and Multi Medium Matte, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die, Journaling Tickets, Melissa Francis Vintage Crepe Paper, Clear UTEE and Spellbinders dies.
So what do you get when you use.....the Big Shot, Flowers 3-D die, Tattered Floral Die, Tattered Leaves Die, a few other floral dies, Crinoline, Seam Binding, Mini Misters filled with various Distress Reinker Inks and water, Tiny Attacher and Multi Medium?? A beautiful corsage that was given to Lynne's mom on Mother's Day. FYI....she needed to use the Craft Scrubbie to clean up her hands after this creation!Kim was inspired to draw around her hand onto shrink plastic, then adhere Patterned paper to the underside and shaped. The Wendy Vecchi art parts have been treated with cosmic shimmer effect using cafe perfect pearls, patterned paper and gear. While the shrink was out a butterfly was stamped and the back coloured with paint dabber, finished with a clock hand centre. Other ranger goodies adorn this piece too!
I am scheduling this post from Holland so I had to make my sample before I left! After decorating my first Configuration a few weeks ago I could n't wait to have a go at another one! This time I used lots of Wendy Vecchi Stamps; Grunge Paper with bits and pieces of Ideaology.
