Simon Says Stamp and Show a Tag!

Hello Everyone! Thank you for playing along with last week's challenge ... the winners will be announced this Wednesday .... so don't forget to check back ... this could be your winning week! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... a Tag! If you want to join in the fun ... all you need to do is ... create something that ties in with our theme ... pop it on your blog ... and come back here and link up so everyone can see what you made! First take a look at what the Design Team came up with...
Nancy's tag is all about monochromatic and she begins with the help of Tattered Angels Embossed Chip Tiles turned tag. After a mini-mask was created, Nancy stamped the Penny Black Fireworks stamp with black Archival ink. Then inked the tile, added Stickles to the stamp and finished it off with metallic rub-ons. Step-by-step instructions can be found on Nancy's blog.

Candy chose to make a pretty Summery tag using some of the NEW Archival Ink colors and images from two of Tim Holtz' stamp sets: Fairytale Frenzy and Spring Sprung. The #8 Manila Tag is adorned with flowers and butterflies. Notice the bodies on the multi winged butterflies? They are Tim Holtz Ideaology Pen Nibs. The colorful crinoline flowers cut from Tim Holtz' Tattered Flowers Die Cut are trimmed in coordinating Stickles. The tag is glistening with Rock Candy Stickles and the scroll is covered in Crackle Accents for a textured finish.
Terry loves the Butterflies from Wendy Vecchi, so she decided to make a Tag with this gorgeous Just flutterby Butterfly from Wendy, she worked on them with distress inks such as Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters, Rusty Hinge, Dried Marigold, Stormy Sky and the borders are done with Vintage Photo. and on top are crackle accents. They are sitting on a branch from The Art Parts from Wendy Vecchi, just like the background was masked with. The border of the Tag was worked on with the EK Succes Fleur de Lis Slim Edger Punch and to finish her project she used the Metal Brads. More details are on her blog.

Lori decided to go with one of her favorite themes for this tag.... travel! So, she started with stamps from Air Travel, Ticket to Art, and Destination Art, the new Mover and Shapers Word Die Journey, and white and clear Shrink Plastic to add some charming details to the tag!

Nancy's still in love with the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Sewing Room die - this time, cutting 3 layers of different papers to create a layered silhouette on an oversized tag. Coordinating papers were used with My Favorite Things' Die-Namics Mini Rolled Roses & Rolled Flower dies to cut flowers, then with Sizzix/Tim Holtz Tiny Tabs & Tags die, to cut tags to hang from one of the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Hanger Clips. Sarah Engels-Greer
With Father’s Day approaching Sarah focused on family and home. She inked up her tags with lots of different Distress Inks, and used stamp sets from Wendy Vecchi including Celestial Art to create a starry road, Homemade Art and the Art Delivery Truck. Two mini Art Parts with hand-stitched stems were the perfect fit! Full details and photos on Sarah’s blog.
Kim
Kim's tag started by stamping Tim's Fabulous flourishes with silver paint dabber, then faded jeans distress ink applied all over. Inspired to try making a lily using Tim's mini leaf die, coloured using copics. Kim loves that the sentiments from stuff to say fits perfectly into the mini Heart die. Also has cut a few special words to fit in her bottle top embellishment, she used a gem gear and filled with clear Utee using her fabulous melt pot.
Lynne created her tag around the Sewing Room die. She had it in her mind to cut a silhouette of the Dressform in her tag, added a piece of embossed Distress Core'dinations paper, painted on some Multi Medium and sprinkled with Vintage Glitter Glass! The ultimate accent......the Accoutrement at the top of her tag! Check out her blog for more shabby grungeness details!
Dan started out with one of Tim Holtz's favorite manila tags and then got to work with an ink blending tool and some distress ink pads.  Stamps used included Soulful Journey, Steampunk and Psychedelic Grunge.  Elements were highlighted with an Inkssentials white pen and acrylic paint dabbers.  More details on Dan's blog.
Linda decided to do a patriotic tag for this week's challenge.  She covered a Tim Holtz tag with blue cardstock that was run through the Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder and brayered with Snow Cap Pigment Ink.  She played with some Tim Holtz techniques and Fired Brick Distress Ink on her hearts.  She also added a fragment combined with a vintage patriotic image.  A slim Melissa Frances Vintage Crepe Paper ruffle finished it off.
I have to confess to building my tag around one of the gorgeous Bottle Cap Inc Paris bottle caps ... well ... a girl has gotta start somewhere! So ... next I turned to Tim Holtz's Shabby French stamp set and I can't make a tag without Ranger Distress Inks and a bit of Idea-ology!
