Simon Says Stamp and Show THE Wendy Vecchi Style!

Hello everyone! Thank you for playing along with last week's Challenge! The winners will be announced this Wednesday .... so don't forget to check back ... this could be your winning week! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Wendy Vecchi Style! If you want to join in the fun ... all you need to do is ... create something that ties in with our theme ... pop it on your blog ... and come back here and link up so everyone can see what you made! Before you start take a look at what the Design Team came up with...
Tracy is beginning to think about Christmas now that we are into October and this weeks piece reflects that with the use of Wendy Vecchi's Art Of Making It Merry set of stamps to decorate the Art Parts Artful Shrine. The shrine was coloured with Distress Ink Fired Brick and the background decorated using a piece of the Kraft Resist Christmas Paper Stash. The leaves are from Wendy Vecchi's Funky Flower Art set, coloured with Distress Ink Peeled Paint. Embellishments include a Christmas Muse Token and JOY added to Memo Pins adhering with Glossy Accents.
With the incredible Wendy Vecchi and Studio 490 as our muse this week, Nancy felt the pull to use several of Wendy's incredible designs. This card began with papers from Pink Paislee's Daily Junque. Nancy then moved onto a Spellbinders die using the same papers. This die fit perfectly underneath Wendy's ATC Art Parts. With the addition of Studio 490 Celestial Art, Nature's Artand Clearly for Art, Nancy's card is complete.
Candy Colwell
It's Wendy Vecchi Week!  Candy created a decorative little shelf using a lot of different Art Parts and Wendy stamps.  The base was constructed using Wendy's Art Parts Artful Shrines and the large scallop from her Scallop Trim Art Parts.  She added some Art Parts from Florals, a Pocket Watches, Simply Wings, Dress Forms And More, Bottles and More, and Queens And Crowns Art Parts to create this whimsical uplifting piece reminding us to not only BELIEVE IN YOUSELF  but to LIVE EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE!

Linda Coughlin
Linda used chipboard coasters to create a three-piece wall hanging with a theme of being true to yourself for her Wendy project.  She used a mix of stamps from Wendy's sets including Live and Make ArtLove to Make ArtA Form of Art and Nature's Art.  She did a lot of sponging with Frayed BurlapDried Marigold and Stormy Sky distress inks.
Wendy, being a true Duchess of Ink, deserved a noble tribute so Sarah created The Vecchi Coat of Arms. She wanted it to be a feast of Wendy's designs and went to town with Art Parts, stamps and Distress inks. Sarah created a floating frame using the Flourish Frames set stamped with Alphabetically Art and then brought her Fanciful Diva to life with a Pocket Watch and Butterfly body, crowning her with a Simply Wings and Scallop headdress. Two Art Part Leaves flank the challenging words 'Be Unique".
Terry just loves everything Wendy, she is such an Artist (Wendy that is LOL)....So Terry decided this time to make a special card with the most fabulous Wendylicious products..such as the stampset Look and You will See & Dreams of Art, the most fabulous Butterflies such as Just Fly and Flutterby Butterfly and the Art Parts set Simply Wings.  Every piece is inked with Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, Weathered Wood, Spiced Marmelade and Ripe Persimmon. Allmost everything is worked on with Crackle Accents and Glossy Accents to give it that special look.
OK.....so Lynne started out her ART SHRINE with every intention of making a WENDY style creation....but it so ended up being a LYNNE style! She began by painting the Art Parts with black paint. She then applied Multi Medium and adhered some Tissue Paper. This is where Lynne went off track, she pulled out the Cubist Template and applied some molding paste. She used multiple dies, Tattered Floral, Spiral Blossoms 1 & 2, Mini Tattered Leaves!! and the coloring GOODNESS began! She finally head back down the right path with the Leaves and beloved Butterfly!
Being a HUGE fan of all things Wendy Vecchi... Ellen couldn't wait to break out her Studio 490 stamps and Art Parts! She started with a 5 x 5 canvas frame, applied distress stains to the background and sides, and then started with the stamping.  Did some script and alpha background stamping, and then used some flower art parts (from THIS set and THIS set), painted with Ranger paint dabbers and then stamped with the polka dot background and checker/flower background, added a scalloped border (from THIS set), stamped the sentiment on white card stock, cut the words apart and arranged on the canvas, inking with antique linen distress ink.  Added an antique skeleton key, and some idea-ology accents
Dan actually took his courage in both hands for this piece and with great trepidation he managed to get to grips with a sewing machine, something he thought he'd never do!  Products he used included Distress Stains in Aged Mahogany, Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick and Picket Fence, Wendy's "It's Face Art" stamp set and a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.
I can take no credit for inspiration this week as all inspiration for this piece comes from THE Wendy Vecchi's beautiful Studio 490 Art Parts packaging and her blog. I have used a selection of Art Parts; Wendy's stamps; Distress Stains and Distress Inks.
