Simon Says Stamp and Show Some Women Only!

Hello Everybody! Thank you for playing along with last week's Challenge! The winners will be announced this Wednesday .... so don't forget to check back ... this could be your winning week! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... some Women Only! If you want to join in the fun ... all you need to do is ... create something that ties in with our theme ... pop it on your blog ... and come back here and link up so everyone can see what you made! Before you start take a look at what the Design Team came up with...
One of the most beautiful women in the U.S. is this gift from France. Nancy designed this tag using images from Crafty Secrets Adventure & Travel Vintage Cuts. The tag was embossed with a Polka Dot Cuttlebug Embossing Folder then inked with Distress Ink. Accents were added using Spellbinders Parisian die and a bronze colored Mini Rosette. Miscellaneous ribbon and frames finished off the Statue of Liberty tag.
Tracy decided to decorate a bodice this week and one with a very womanly figure too, decorated with recycled tissue paper coloured with Adirondack Color Wash Espresso and Sunset Orange. The bodice has been adorned with flowers made from Tissue Tape, ribbon, Accoutrements and a Philosophy Tag attached with Jump Rings.
This week, Candy decided to take a trip to her most favorite place; OZ, to visit the strong female characters of that movie.  So, she packed her suitcase covered in Graphic 45's The Magic Of Oz Collection; distressed with various Ranger Distress Inks and Ranger Stickles and headed down the yellow brick road! Several Tim Holtz Ideaology pieces, Glossy Accents, Wonder Tape, and Tim Holtz On The Edge die cuts were essential in creating her suitcase.
When Terry thought of Women Only, she was thinking of an altered photo-frame, a perfect fit for women only...so she found a fab classy lady on the net. The frame is worked on with Wendy Vecchi's Art Parts Leaves and she played with Faded Jeans. The Flowers are from The Wendy, Dreams of Art and worked on with Distress Crackle Paint and coloured with Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans and Forest Moss. On the flowers she used some spacers and the Perlen pen. The swirls are from The Tim's Grungeboard Elements and coloured with the Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans.
Lynne Forsythe
Lynne's thoughts immediately went to Graphic 45 papers when she saw this weeks challenge. The line she chose to use was Steampunk Debutante!!! She then chose a black tag which she embossed, diecut into and spritzed with Perfect Pearls Mist (can't get enough of that stuff!!!) She cut out one of the ladies, covered her with Rock Candy Crackle Paint and did up her hair with Sprocket Gears! Every GAL should.......FOLLOW HER DREAMS!!

Dan
For this week's theme, Dan chose to make a feature of a strong female image from a female designer - Wendy Vecchi.  To make this "in your face" composition, products he used on this card included the It's Face Art stamp set, the Lost and Found and Retro Grunge card stacks, Distress Stains and a Ranger Archival Black ink pad.
Sarah Engels-Greer
Ah, the untold mysteries of the female mind! Sarah took the Phrenology image from Art Rules by Wendy Vecchi and allowed her imagination to run wild creating an abstract piece depicting thoughts, dreams and memories. She used many of Wendy's Studio 490 stamps, an array of Art Parts including the Sample Pack, Leaves and Simply Wings and lots of Distress Inks.
Ellen Vargo
Ellen decided to get girly Dylusions-style with this week's theme, going for the painty/messy/stencil look. She used Claudine Hellmuth Studio paints in modern red, landscape green and classic teal. Then added layers of white and black gesso scraped through stencils, scraped more paint over that, accenting with white paint pen and black pitt pen.  Added Dylusions images painted with distress stains, and finally some stickles and idea-ology to finish it off.

Linda Coughlin
A sweet and feminine vintage-inspired Christmas ornament in creams and gold is what Linda thought of for the Women Only challenge.  With a lovely Victoria angel as a focal point, she used the largest heart from the Spellbinders heart die set, Melissa Frances vintage crepe paper, the Tim Holtz mini rosette diegold acrylic paint dabber, and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
For Women Only week I decided to go for Women Only designed stamps ... and we all know what that means ... Lots of yummy Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 designs ... in fact tooooo many to list here ... so have a squizz at this little lot! The colours I used for my tag book were Shabby Shutters Distress Stain; Broken China Distress Ink; Turquoise Perfect Pearls Mist and Jet Black Archival. I finished the book off by binding the tags with ribbon and adding a bit of Idea-Ology.
