To me Distressing is just the best thing ever! My tag is coloured using Distress Stains and Colour Washes. I have worked on the edges with a Distressing tool and some Vintage Photo Distress inks. The stamps are Wendy Vecchi, the butterfly, ribbon, tape and baubles are all from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology line.
Vintage Photo, and filled it with many distressed layers including stitched Kraft Glassine paper. The new Hero Arts image is stamped using a resist technique with White Stazon and Brushed Corduroy inks. The box frame has been decorated and includes flowers cut with Tattered Florals. Vintage Photo, victorian velvet, forest moss and fired brick and were also used on the flowers that were made with the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die. The small flowers are worked on with Holographic embossing powder to give it the sparkle. She made the borders with a Martha Stewart Punch and the papers are from Steampunk Debutante. Melting Pot, Beeswax and pariffin. Brushed the wax on the Canvas Corp Tag inside a stencil created using the Sewing Room die. When cooled, she spritzed on various Color Wash colors. Then melted the applied wax with her Heat Tool. She accented her girl with a Liquid Pearl necklace and a hung a Bauble from her waist on a Jump Ring.
Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and ran it along the cut edges of each Graphic 45 paper so as not to show the white cut edge. Nancy thinks you can still use bright colors and achieve the distress look she so loves.
Tim Holtz' Lost and Found Paper Stash, various Distress Inks for added color,a heart made from Black UTEE, Adirondak's Pool Dabber for antiquing, Ideaology elements, Stripes Grungeboard and the Ornate On The Edge die cut. After she finished putting it all together, she encased it in Ranger's Natural Melt Art Beeswax . Distressing can be FUN!
Seasonal Paper Stack and Stickers, which she distressed using the Tonic Paper Distresser. She also used the Spring Sprung stamp set, and some Art Institute Vintage Glass Glitter adhered with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.
7 Gypsies' Avignon stamps are a great size to use with the 5x7 canvas and Ranger's Confection Perfect Pearls in Gumball, mixed with gel medium & Art Institute Glass Glitter, worked well to give the surface a bit of texture.
Linda was eager to try out the new Tim Holtz Kraft Resist Paper Stash and her new Papillon stamp set and thought together they would make the perfect distressed project. She created a binder cover for her Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamp sets. Everything was ink distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink including the muslin cloth used for the bow and fabric flower and she tried out her new Vintage Photo Distress Stain on the Grungeboard flourish.Simon Says Stamp is once again giving away a $50 gift voucher!
